Delft

Our client lives in Paris and has had a pied a terre in her home town Delft. She used to rent out the house, but now the moment had come for a complete make over since she was planning to use it as a second home. The Thalys takes her from Paris to her own familiar environment in 3 hours. She asked us to make an interior design and support her with the realization of the project.

a white and bright space

We made an overall design plan for the ground floor. Our client was very clear from the beginning: she wanted everything as bright as possible with a preference for white. We enthusiastically started designing a bright house where our client can enjoy Delft when she is alone, but with enough space to accommodate her family and relatives. We created a lot of storage space. In the kitchen the meter box was situated in a handmade cupboard. Next to it we created a window seat – also with storage space – which offers a view of the cosy, little street. To interrupt the long, narrow room we used round elements like the kitchen table, side tables and the pouffe.
