Living Prinsengracht Amsterdam | In progress

12 Jun 2017

We already knew this client from a project we did earlier. We have worked for Marleen when she asked for interior advice for her office.  It is always nice to do multiple assignments for one client. This shows trust and we already know their wishes and needs. The client came with the same question, but this time for her home at the Prinsengracht in Amsterdam. Marleen is a very busy person. She travels for her work regularly and she spends the most of her spare time on the family. As a result, the interior was not up to date any more. The living room did not feel comfortable. We just think that tranquility and storage space in the interior is exactly what our client needs. In this way, she can enjoy her family in a room that is exactly tailored to the needs of her and her family.

We made a layout plan for the living room, making all available space well utilized. The house has beautiful views of the canals of Amsterdam. To get a good view from the sofa, we made a design for custom furniture which fits perfectly to the sofa. In addition, this piece of furniture also provides additional seating. The use of the color green was a specific wish of the client. We used that shade earlier in the company’s interior makeover, which made her feel very good. We chose a beautiful color green for paint on the walls and subtly in the accessories like the cushions and lighting. We placed the round dining table close to the kitchen. Because the space in the living room is limited, we chose a flexible setting: the table is easy to pull out for more seating. The stools at the table are also flexible pieces and can be used as a seat or small table. Implementation is currently in full swing.
