Our houses as a shooting location

Holly Marder was destijds gevraagd om sfeerfoto’s te maken voor Marz Designs. Het Australische merk had een nieuwe toevoeging aan de collectie en vroeg Holly sfeerbeelden te creëren en te fotograferen. Wij weten zelf  van shoots die wij gedaan hebben voor merken zoals Rex Kralj en Vertigo Bird dat het fijn is als je gebruik mag maken van locaties die de juiste sfeer uitstralen. En werken met vrienden maakt de klus ook nog eens leuker en ontspannen. Dus toen onze goede vriendin Holly vroeg of zij wat foto’s mocht maken voor de Bright Beads pendels van Marz Design hielpen wij haar graag uit de brand. Even een grappig zijspoor dat hier op inhaakt: Bas en Nathalie hebben zelfs wel eens model gestaan voor Holly. Totaal buiten hun comfort zone maar verrassend leuk om te doen. Terug naar de shoot voor Marz Designs: bij Tessa koos Holly voor de woonkamer en hing de lamp bij gezellige haard en bank. En bij Nathalie werd de lichte witte keuken aangevuld met die mooie houten pendel. Tenslotte creëerde ze een slaapkamer setting in haar eigen huis, die je vast nog wel herkent van de eerdere slaapkamer make over. It is time again to revive an old blogpost. We came across this blogpost in our archive from 2014 (!). It is always nice to look back and the images are still inspiring.

Holly Marder was asked to make atmospheric photographs for Marz Designs. The Australian brand had a new addition to the collection and asked Holly to create and photograph new imagery. We have experienced from shoots that we have done for brands such as Rex Kralj and Vertigo Bird that it is nice if you can use locations that have the right atmosphere. And working with friends also makes the job more fun and relaxed. So when our good friend Holly asked if she could take some pictures for the Bright Beads pendants by Marz Design, we gladly helped her out. Just a funny story: Bas and Nathalie have even been a model once for Holly. Totally outside their comfort zone but surprisingly fun to do. You can see the result here.
Back to the shoot for Marz Designs: at Tessa’s house Holly chose the living room and hung the lamp near the cozy fireplace and couch. And at Nathalie the light white kitchen was supplemented with that beautiful wooden pendant. Finally she created a bedroom setting in her own house, which you probably recognize from the previous bedroom make over. More results can of course be found on the blog of Avenue Design Studio.
