22 Apr 2024We meet Larissa in a beautiful house on the Delft canals. She recently moved there with her family. They emigrated from Canada to the Netherlands more than ten years ago. The house was in excellent condition but had lacked love and attention for many years. Larissa has changed that in a short time. As an artist she knows how to make exactly the right combinations to give a house personality.
The entire house lacked comfort and coziness. The floors were worn out and the walls and ceilings were a bit cracked and dirty. So that was the first point of attention. Then Larissa and her husband made a beautiful wall-filling cupboard in the bedroom to create plenty of storage space. The oak fronts were fitted with walnut handles. The contrast between the different types of wood works well together. And the size of the handle is subtle but functional.
When the sun shines into the bedroom, the light is warm and cozy. To emphasize this even more, Larissa chose the light yellow Sorbetto shade from Midnatt as bedding. The plaid made of linen waffle cloth completes the look.
We will soon also show Larissa’s kitchen. She also opted for oak fronts there and combined them with custom-made oak round handles. Keep an eye on our journal.
